Ludhiana Highlights | Sub-Inspector Harbans Singh of Punjab Police got the Presidential Medal for his fine & brave performance. This medal was given on Monday by the Governor Vajinderpal Singh Badanour during the state level program organized at Punjab Police Academy Phillaur.
Harbans Singh is in-charge of the State Task Force Ludhiana unit, who took charge of unit on April 10, 2017 and during his five-month tenure he arrested the notorious drug smugglers, smuggling 42.100 kg heroin worth of 210 crores in the international market.
Originally Harbans Singh of Barasat village of Patiala had been recruited as a constable in 1986, promted as head Constable in 1992, ASI in 1995 And became a Sub-Inspector in 2011. In view of his honesty and commitment to duty, he was elected for the Presidential award in 2013, which Governor gave to him on Monday. Harbans told that till now he has got more than 300 appreciation certificates from various superior officers.
